The problem of being underweight has become a common phenomenon. It is a condition, when a person does not have an ideal weight, according to his/her height and sex. A person, who weighs almost 10 to 20 percent below the average, is termed underweight. Some of the causes for underweight problems are rise in the stress level, lack of sleep, poor nutrition, exposure to pollutants, lack of exercise, etc. Bad eating habits also add to the causes for the occurrence of the problem. Being underweight can also arise due to hereditary reasons. Apart from being skinny, a person starts facing a number of health problems. However, gaining weight is not as major problem and can be treated by indulging in the right kind of eating habit. In the following lines, we provide some of the ways to gain weight.
Home Remedy For Gaining Weight
Flex vs. Silverlight
The battle for making riches out of RIA platforms is now really heating up between Adobe’s Flash/Flex platform and Microsoft’s Silverlight. This is an important area for the future of web applications, and is bound to give the winner a critical flow of developer bucks.
Up until now I’ve been an advocate of Flex through-and-through. This was partly, I admit, because I’ve always had the feeling that Silverlight has just been a copy of the Flex/Flash environment. But in the real world, it doesn’t matter so much who got there first, and it’s the current productivity and functionality benefits that count. And so it’s only come to dawn on me recently that there’s one big problem with Flex that Adobe has yet to face up to…if they can. And it’s potentially a killer.
The problem comes down to one word: threading. In short, Silverlight has it, and Flash doesn’t. We’ll talk a bit about why Adobe haven’t provided this below, but first let’s examine why it’s an issue.
But ‘.wav’ files? What’s going on there? Surely nobody would notice if they noteflight used mp3s for thier sound samples, and wouldn’t the download time be a million times better? Well, as it turns out, noteflight.com used wav files because “an ActionScript3-based decoder is inevitably going to be slow (and consume development cycles too)“.
Now maybe I’m reading between the lines a little bit, but here is what I suspect is going on. If you do a method call to decode an mp3 file in ActionScript then it’s going to take quite a long time to complete. During that time, because Flash is single threaded, absolutely nothing can happen in the UI. Nothing. Progress indicators can’t update, mouse events can’t be processed, and the user will generally be left with an impression that the RIA is temporarily dead. This isn’t at all good.
For Silverlight, on the other hand, I believe it would be a doddle to spawn a worker process to sort this out, and meanwhile still remain responsive. Just like what you’d expect out of a modern-day platform.
But my-oh-my have you seen what happens when you resize a large image taken with a digital camera? Nothing….for a long while, and then…..your image. This simply won’t do.
In contrast, Silverlight has been built from the ground up with more ambitious targets in mind: fully fledged applications.
Adobe’s stance on this is a little disappointing, as Alex from Adobe explains on his very useful blog:
As we hear more from our users about the importance of threading, the higher its priority will be.
While it’s very nice that Adobe is taking our concerns into account, I can’t help thinking that this isn’t the best way for them to do business. Wouldn’t it be better if problems could be anticipated, rather than waiting until developers are upset about them? In this case, Microsoft seems to have managed this pretty well.

And so it’s only come to dawn on me recently that there’s one big problem with Flex that Adobe has yet to face up to…if they can. And it’s potentially a killer.
The problem
At first the problem seems a like not such a big deal. In fact, for many RIAs out there today, it probably makes not once single bit of difference. But I think it really is a fairly vital feature that Microsoft offers out of the box, but Adobe has somehow managed to over-look. And I think it’s only because of the relative immaturity of RIAs, and the strong event focus of Adobe’s Flash platform that has caused it to be overlooked. The problem comes down to one word: threading. In short, Silverlight has it, and Flash doesn’t. We’ll talk a bit about why Adobe haven’t provided this below, but first let’s examine why it’s an issue.
The scale of the problem
How important is multi-threading in the RIA space? Well, of course, that rather depends on what it is that you’re trying to build. As I have already said, I don’t think this is a problem for many of the RIAs out there today. On the other-hand, it certainly is for some. As RIA apps grow more complex and libraries become sophisticated and nested, it’s going to be more of a problem.Synthesizers
Take the fantasic Noteflight. If you haven’t yet seen this app then you really need to check it out. This Flex RIA app lets you drag around musical notation to compose scores, which may then be played-back using a synth that overlays sounds loaded from .wav files on noteflights servers. It’s a fantastic app, and I’m pretty sure that tools like this will bring to many musicians what mp3s have brought to music listeners (i.e. mass, systematic theft of music, which has, somehow, to be properly monetized).

Image processing
For a chronic example, look at the quick image resizer. This site is pretty nifty because it lets you resize a jpg, directly from your local filesystem, without once transferring an image between you and the RIA’s server. But my-oh-my have you seen what happens when you resize a large image taken with a digital camera? Nothing….for a long while, and then…..your image. This simply won’t do.
Other apps
It’s not hard to extend this to a whole host of other applications that need threading. Doesn’t a word-processor need to spell check innocuously? Doesn’t any form of editor need to be able to process it’s content for saving, without blocking the UI? Is there any point in Flash Player 10 having support for audio processingPixelBender aside, which is kind of a cop out for certain flavours of processing, and besides, do most developers really want to have to code this stuff in a different language catered for mass parallel processing)? Why is Flash like this?
The short answer to this is that Flash has grown organically and hasn’t always been intended for the sophisticated RIA applications that people are now starting to build with it. In fact, ActionScript was first created with much smaller ambitions: i.e. animated vector graphics. The Flash event model was ideal for this, queuing up messages for processing via a single thread. Now these original platform intentions have been hijacked to support the Flex libraries that enable such more complex embedded web content, but the underlying threading model didn’t change. In contrast, Silverlight has been built from the ground up with more ambitious targets in mind: fully fledged applications.
How can the problem be solved?
Instead of moving in the direction of Silverlight, there are a few other steps that Flex developers can take to get around this problem. Unfortunately though, none of them are particuarly pleasant!Splitting tasks up
One approach is to simply split up big processing tasks into small blocks so that other events can be processed between each block. If this is possible then it’s certainly an approach, albeit an awkward one. It goes without saying, however, that it is a complete pain to manually divide up sequential composition into Flash’s event model.Spawning another VM
Another approach is to get all your work done in a completely seperate Flash virtual machine. Flash’s LocalConnection interface is probably the best way to communicate with such a seperate process. Despite again being an obvious pain to code, this method is also likely to be pretty slow at transferring large amounts of data between the VMs, and there are all sorts of synchronization problems when you cater for the user having the same app open in multiple browser windows etc.Adobe extending the Flash Player and ActionScript
It should be possible for Adobe to cater for multi-threading in a single virtual machine, but it’s likely to be a lot of work for them. Obviously, many of the libraries (including the Flex ones) would need to be rewritten to add thread-safety. Events would still have to be processed one at a time by a single thread to maintain backwards compatibility, since existing apps will depend on this.Adobe’s stance on this is a little disappointing, as Alex from Adobe explains on his very useful blog:
As we hear more from our users about the importance of threading, the higher its priority will be.
While it’s very nice that Adobe is taking our concerns into account, I can’t help thinking that this isn’t the best way for them to do business. Wouldn’t it be better if problems could be anticipated, rather than waiting until developers are upset about them? In this case, Microsoft seems to have managed this pretty well.
Understanding Pranayama
What does pranayama mean? The word Pranayama is made up of two syllables – Prana and Ayama. Prana indicates the life source or the consciousness. The entire play of life is nothing but consciousness that is around us and within us. Everything in this universe is made up of one source, one energy and this is called the Prana. Ayama means control.
Hence Pranayama means the control of life energy. If you ask yourself what is the vital source of life energy for you? The answer would be “your breathing”. Your breath is as good as your life itself. When you inhale you take in the energy around you or the life source surrounding you.
You breathe in life energy. That’s the reason why your breath is so important. Pranayama as a practice in hatha yoga teaches you how to control your breathing. Through the control of your breathe you start controlling your self. This is the first step towards the attainment of higher consciousness.
1. Shallow breathing
2. Rapid breathing
Shallow breathing: Whenever you are feeling low or depressed you will find yourself breathing slowly and shallowly. Your intake of air would be less and it would be slow.
Rapid breathing: Usually when you are angry or in a fit of rage you don’t observe your breathing but if you do, it will be evident that it is very rapid in nature. You tend to take breaths in short gasps.
Both these patterns of breathing cause an imbalance of Prana in you. The life energy is not flowing smoothly and hence it manifests as a disorder outwardly seen as depression or anger. Anyone who practices yoga with discipline would attain control over his breath with practice. After that his/her breathing would rhythmic and hence the flow of life energy would be balanced. Such a person will never feel disturbed or succumb to destructive emotional states.
Prana: The air circulates around the heart and provides oxygen which is vital to its functioning
Vyana: The air circulates around the body via the blood stream and distributes the life giving force of food
Apana: The air we breathe controls the functions of excretion
Samana: The air we breathe stimulates the flow of gastric juices and hence it aids digestion
Udana: The air maintains its presence in the thoracic cage and allows absorption of vital constituents
Naga: Relieve abdominal pressure
Krkara: Prevent foreign or harmful substance from entering into the nasal cavity or descending into the throat by inducing sneezing
Dhanamjaya: Air is one constituent which remains in our body even after our death
Devadutta: When you are lazy it provokes yawning and ensures absorption of oxygen to revitalize the body
Imagine the harm you are causing your body organs and glands as well as your brain by practicing irregular breathing. Without your knowledge you are sabotaging the life force within you and this is the reason why most people in today’s generation are afflicted with diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma and heart problems. There is so much stress prevalent that is almost palpable. The reason for all these disorders is the imbalance that has crept into our breathing.
1. Pranayama Helps in the Improved functioning of your kidney and bowels: Yoga advocates that function of excretion as vital to the functioning of a healthy body. Breathing induces a massaging action on your internal organs including the kidney, bowel and diaphragm. The alternate inhale and exhale which is performed while breathing induces a contraction and expansion of these organs.
Pranayama practice ensures that the inhaling and exhaling is rhythmic. Moreover the exercises which entail holding your breath and exhaling slowly apply a definite pressure over these organs inducing a stimulating massage. The result would be stronger and more elastic muscles controlling the kidney and your bowel leading to better functioning of these organs.
2. Pranayama Helps in the Improved function of your liver: People who face digestive problems on a frequent basis tend to have a weak liver. The functioning of their pancreas and stomach would also be suboptimal. The various Pranayama exercises induce a massaging action upon all these organs relieving them of all the congestion improving the blood flow. There is an immediate improvement in the process of digestion once the liver is free of congestion. The stimulation of the pancreas also ensures that the digestive system functions optimally.
3. Pranayama Helps the Lungs Perform Better: The various Pranayama exercises induce the lungs to open as far as possible. Due to this expansion the lungs have an increased surface area to absorb oxygen and to relieve themselves of toxic gases. This ensures that you are free of all the breathing diseases such as asthama
4. Improves the circulation of blood: Proper circulation of blood is vital to the proper function of a human body. Diseases such a thyroid problems, heart problems and prostate problems are usually due to improper circulation of blood to the endocrine glands. Pranayama exercises induce a rapid circulation of blood. Moreover the blood is rich in oxygen and reaches the nerve endings faster. The action of rhythmic breathing stimulates the nerves around the spinal column and the synaptic nerves inducing a rich blood flow to the brain inducing clearer thought.
5. Pranayama Aids the Endrocine Functioning: The endocrine glands work in cohesion with the nervous system to ensure that nerve impulse are transmitted quickly. In people who feel sluggish through out the day and have the tendency to sleep longer, there could well be a problem with their endocrine functioning. Pranayama stimulates the endocrine glands to ensure proper transmission of nerve impulses. People who practice Pranayama stay active through out the day and do not feel sluggish or fatigued.
Following steps instruct on how to perfrom the nadi sodhana pranayama:
You can continue doing this exercise for around 10 - 15 times.
Shitali Pranayama:
Sheetal also means cool, and this pranayama technique will help you achieve the same. To perform shitali pranayama, be seated in a comfortable position. Cross your legs and take five to six deep breaths to get yourself prepared.
Now open your mouth in a "o" shape and start to inhale through the mouth. When you exhale, do so with your nose.
This can be repeated five to ten times.
Ujjayi Pranayama
Ujjayi means the ocean and this pranayama is about mimicking the oceanic sound or the sound of the waves.
To do this, be seated in a comfortable position crossing your legs. Now start to inhale and exhale deeply using your mouth.
While doing this, constrict your throat as if something is choaking it when you exhale and inhale the air. This will produce a sound similar to the ocean when you breath.
Now close your mouth and start to breath using your nose, but maintain the same tone to your throat so you still continue to make the same sound as your breath.
You can repeat this prayanama breathing exercise for about ten to fifteen times.
Kapalabhati Pranayama:
To perform the kapalabhati pranayama technique, sit in a comfortable position crossing your legs. Perform two to three deep inhales and exhales.
Now inhale deeply and exhale forcefully drawing all the air out. Your belly should be drawn in, as you exhale.
When you inhale, let it happen passively without you making any effort to inhale as the belly goes back to normal position.
Exhale forcefully again and continue doing this for about 20 to 30 times.
Dirga Pranayama - Three Part Breathing
The dirga pranayam is a bit different from other types as it involves lying down on your back instead of being in a seated position. This technique involves very deep inhalation and exhalation.
To perform this panayama, lie down on your back and close your eyes. Breath normally and then slowly take deep breaths, relaxing your body.
Now inhale a lot of air in slowly to fill your belly up. Your belly should rise up like a balloon. Hold this position for a few seconds and exhale drawing the belly inwards ensure there is no air left.
In the second step, inhale deeply to fill up the belly. Inhale a bit more to fill up air in your rib cage. When you exhale, exhale air from your rib cage and then from your belly.
In the third step, inhale deeply to fill up your belly and rib cage with air. Inhale a bit more to fill up your heart center (area around the heart) with air. When you exhale, exhale air from the heart center, then the rib cage and then the belly.
Repeat the whole process for five to six times
Viloma Pranayama
VILOMA Pranayama involves praused breathing at regular intervals and can be divided into two stages. The first stage is called 'paused inhalation' and the second stage is called 'paused exhalation'. Let's look at these stages in detail:
Viloma Paused Inhalation:
Viloma Paused Exhalation: The paused exhalation is the exact opposite of the inhalation process. In this case, you inhale deeply and normally without interuption, but exhale with regular pauses.
Anuloma Pranayama
Just like Viloma Anuloma is about alternate nostril breathing. In this case, the inhalation and exhalation is done with one nostril blocked and the other partially open. Some variations of the yoga are granular anuloma.
This type of pranayama is particularly useful in clensing the nasal passages and creating calmness within.
In old age, the respiratory function decreases due to the contraction of the air cells of the lungs, which therey takes in less oxygen. Prayanama will help to normalize their size and make the red corpuscles circulate in all parts of the body, infusing life and vigor throughout. Through regular practice even old people can delay the ageing process.
1.) It is important to understand that the base of yoga is relaxation. All the Asanas and breathing exercises involved in Pranayama should be performed in a mentally and physically relaxed state. If your mind is filled with thought, try to relax and let the breathing exercise fix your concentration away from the thoughts.
2.) It is important never to strain yourself while performing any of the exercises. It takes practice to perfect the control of your breath and it cannot be achieved in a day or two. It takes a few months of patient practice but the returns are worth the effort.
3.) It is normal for people to get impatient while practicing Pranayama initially, this is just your body reacting to its old conditioning of irregular breathing. Be patient and continue your exercises in a relaxed manner. Slowly your mind will also relax and enter into the state of alert consciousness.
4.) There should be no abrupt movements, no sharp exhalations or inhalations and neither should you feel uncomfortably suffocated. Yoga is none of these. There should be no discomfort while performing yoga. Initially it helps to perform yoga under the guidance of an experienced guru because it entails great care and precision. Once you have perfected the exercise you can perform on your own.
5.) It is advisable to perform Pranayam in an empty stomach. Early in the mornings is preferably the best time. If you prefer doing Pranayama in the evenings, make sure to keep a gap of four to five hours depending on the type of meal you are eating. This is considering that heavier meals take more time to digest.
6.) If you find it difficult to sit in Padmasana, you can sit in a pose that you feel comfortable in. You can also considering sitting on a chair if sitting in Asanas is difficult for you.
7.) Pregnant women and women who have recently delivered should not do Pranayama.
8.) People suffering from abdominal wounds, hernia, peritonitis, appendicitis and those recovering from surgery should not perform Pranayama.
9.) People suffering from heart problems, high blood pressure, weekness and/or back-pain are advised to do inhalations and exhalations slowly without exerting pressure.
10.) Sit in an erect pose (Your spine must be straight) a You can sit in Siddhasan, sukhasan, or Padmasan, and assume a vayu mudra or dhyan mudra It is best to take training from an expert before attempting to perform advanced Pranayama techniques like the Kapalbhati. The expert will be able to guide you on the duration and proper methodologies of performing these breathing exercises so you can benefit the maximum.
Hence Pranayama means the control of life energy. If you ask yourself what is the vital source of life energy for you? The answer would be “your breathing”. Your breath is as good as your life itself. When you inhale you take in the energy around you or the life source surrounding you.

Hazards of Irregular Breathing
Irregular breathing is not normal but is followed by almost everyone who has not been taught the value of their breath. Yoga points towards the fact that the reason for imbalance in our lives is due to irregular breathing. The various diseases which have inflicted the human race in the recent times have their roots founded in this pattern of irregular breathing. Most disorders whether it be mental or physical are instigated by the way your breath day in and day out. If you observe carefully there are two types of irregular breathing most frequently observed in yourself1.

Such a person will never feel disturbed or succumb to destructive emotional states.
The functions of breathing as explained in yoga literature
Breathing is vital to our existence and it is a life giving force for each living organism. Yoga literature explains the various functions fulfilled by the air that we breathe-in as below:Prana: The air circulates around the heart and provides oxygen which is vital to its functioning
Vyana: The air circulates around the body via the blood stream and distributes the life giving force of food
Apana: The air we breathe controls the functions of excretion

Benefits of Pranayama as Discipline of Yoga
The practice of Pranayama in itself can cure a person of all ills. When this practice is perfected you can be assured of a healthy body and a mind which is free of negativity. Pranayama exercises involve various types of breath control practices. The second part of this article discusses all the various breathing exercises in Pranayama which you can peruse for better understanding. The purpose of this discussion is to enlist the benefits you reap once you have perfected the exercises.1. What is Pranayama Breathing and How to Perform Pranayama Yoga?
Yoga science of breathing is called prayanama. Oxygen is the most vial nutrient to our body. It is essential for the integrity of the brain, nerves, glands and internal organs. We can do without food for weeks and without water for days, but without oxygen; we will die within a few minutes.Where to Perform Pranayama yoga
Pranayama techniques are best practiced while sitting on the floor on a folded blanket. This form of practice is applicable to padmasana also. However; any other posture will do provided the back is kept erect from the base of the spine to the neck and perpendicular to the floor. Bad and poorly performed posture will lead to shallow breathing and low endurance. One must empty the bladder and bowels before starting pranayama yoga. When to Perform Pranayama
Pranayama yoga must be performed in empty stomach. The best time for practice is the early morning, preferably before sunrise when the pollution is at its lowest level, and the body and brain are still free. However, if morning is unsuitable, pranayama may be practiced after sunset, when the air is cool and pleasant. The place suitable for all kinds of Yoga must be clean and calm.Major Types of Pranayama and Instructions
Some major types of pranayama yoga are as follows:- Nadi Sodhana
- Shitali Pranayama
- Ujjayi Pranayama
- Kapalabhati Pranayama
- Digra Pranayama
- Bhastrika Pranayama
- Bahya Pranayama
- Bhramari Pranayama
- Udgit pranayama
- Anuloma & Viloma Pranayama
- Agnisar Kriya
Instructions on How to Perform Pranayama Yoga
Nadi Sodhana:Following steps instruct on how to perfrom the nadi sodhana pranayama:
- Sit down in a comfortable place assuming a cross legged position
- Now use your thumb (right hand) to close the right side of your nose. Inhale deeply using the left nostril
- Now close the left nostril and exhale using the right one
- In the same way, now with the left nostril still closed, inhale using the right nostril and exhale with the left one

- Lie down in a comfortable position and try to relax. Breath deeply, but normally
- Now inhale for 2 to 3 seconds and pause. Hold your breath for two seconds and then restart inhalation. Pause inhalation again after 2 to seconds. Inhale again. Repeat this process untill the lungs feel full of air
- Exhale now, slowly, till you feel empty of air
Viloma Paused Exhalation: The paused exhalation is the exact opposite of the inhalation process. In this case, you inhale deeply and normally without interuption, but exhale with regular pauses.
Anuloma Pranayama
Just like Viloma Anuloma is about alternate nostril breathing. In this case, the inhalation and exhalation is done with one nostril blocked and the other partially open. Some variations of the yoga are granular anuloma.
This type of pranayama is particularly useful in clensing the nasal passages and creating calmness within.
What is the Importance of Pranayama?
Practice of pranayama yoga has been reported to be beneficial in treating a range of stress related disorders, improving autonomic functions, relieving symptoms of asthma, stuttering and reducing signs of oxidative stress. Pranayama techniques are also effective for depression cure. Practice of prayanama develops a steady mind, strong will-power and sound judgment. In addition regular pranayama helps extends life and enhance perceptionIn old age, the respiratory function decreases due to the contraction of the air cells of the lungs, which therey takes in less oxygen. Prayanama will help to normalize their size and make the red corpuscles circulate in all parts of the body, infusing life and vigor throughout. Through regular practice even old people can delay the ageing process.
Points to Remember While Practicing Pranayama
Here are a few important points your need to bear in mind while performing or before attempting to perform Pranayama.1.) It is important to understand that the base of yoga is relaxation.
Yoga Poses for Diabetes Patients
Diabetes is a disease that results when the body does not produce sufficient hormones to break down the sugar that is ingested. This results because of the deterioration pancreas - the only organ in the body that can produce insulin. Insulin helps in regulating the sugar in the blood by converting it into energy. When the insulin is not sufficient, the sugar does not get converted. Instead it gets accumulated in the blood causing a number of symptoms such as fatigue, unusual thirst, excessive urination, loss of weight and many other complications. No wonder, diabetics has been termed the 'Mother of all Diseases' by the medical industry.
The sad reality is that irrespective of all the research being done, the medical industry is yet to come up with a permanent solution to reactivate the deteriorated beta cells of the pancreas. The best these medicines can do is control diabetics while the dosage keeps increasing as time progresses.
Caution: Please do not attempt any of the asanas on your own unless you have been guided by a yoga guru or certified teacher.
1. Pranayama - Pranayama techniques are simple breathing exercises that have extensive benefits. By mastering the art of pranayama, you can cure your body of a range of diseases including diabetics. Point to note is that you will need to invest at-least half hour a day practising pranayama. There are 7 major pranayama techniques that have been shown to be benefitial in curing diabetics. These are as follows:
1.) Bhastrika Pranayama
2.) Kapalabhati Pranayama
3.) AgniSar Kriya
4.) Bahya Pranayama
5.) Anuloma - Viloma Pranayama
6.) Bhramari pranayama
7.) Udgit pranayama
2. Mandukasana (Frog Pose) - Mandukasana also known as the frog pose is extremely beneficial to diabetic patients as it exerts pressure on the pancreas. This pose is done sitting in Vajrasana.
3. Yogamudrasana - As in case of Mandukasana, this pose also exerts pressure on the stomach and particularly on the pancreas. The main difference between Madukasana and Yogamudrasana is that Yogamudrasana is done sitting in Padmasana whereas Madukasana is doing sitting in Vajrasana.
The seven pranayama techniques (mentioned above) along with Madukasana and Yogamudrasana are more than enough to cure diabetics and diabetic related problems. But there are a few other asanas that you can consider performing for maximum benefits:
4. Paschimottasana (Forward Seated Bend posture) – This is a posture which promotes the function of the pancreas, liver and the kidneys. You will have to start by sitting on a mat with your legs stretched in front of you. Take in a deep breath. Then, slowly bend forward exhaling placing your head on your knees and reaching for your toes. Touch your toes and keep this posture for 2-3 breaths then return to the sitting position. This asana should be repeated two or three times.
5. Shalabhasana (Locust posture) – This posture is especially effective for treating acidity and indigestion. In combination with the other two asanas it helps the digestive system and support the liver and the pancreas toning up.
6. Ardha Matsyendrasana Ardha Matsyendrasana also known as the spine twisting pose is a tough pose and cannot be performed without constant practice. But once mastered, the benefits of this pose are immense in helping the pancreas recover.
7. Vakrasana A slightly easier pose and an alternative to Ardha Matsyendrasana is 'Vakrasana'. This pose has all the benefits of the spine twisting pose and is easier to perform.
The best way to start is by eating a 'raw food' breakfast either consisting of fruits or raw veggies and sprouts. Yes, fruits contain sugar. But the sugar contained in fruits is natural. Natural sugar can easily be digested by the body unlike processed sugar. So do not worry about consuming fruits. Only thing to bear in mind is to eat fruits only when the stomach is empty. This is why eating fruits for breakfast is a good idea. Another point to bear in mind is to avoid drinking water half hour before and after eating fruits. Fruits take a maximum of 20 minutes to get digested. So give your body the time without diluting the digestive juices by drinking water.
A good tip would be to start the day by drinking a glass of warm water and then doing pranayama for half hour followed by a fruit rich diet. Eat fruits till your stomach feels full. Avoid fruit juices. Simple point to bear in mind - do not use technology/electronics (like gas-stove or mixer) to prepare your breakfast.
If you find this beneficial, start eating fruits 2 meals a day.
The sad reality is that irrespective of all the research being done, the medical industry is yet to come up with a permanent solution to reactivate the deteriorated beta cells of the pancreas. The best these medicines can do is control diabetics while the dosage keeps increasing as time progresses.
Yoga and Diabetes
Yoga is an ancient method of exercising body and mind for maintaining all its functions at their optimum level. Almost all the diseases known to man can be addressed by yoga – and diabetes can be controlled by it as well. There are many postures and breathing exercises in yoga which would induce the pancreas to produce enough insulin to regulate the sugar in the body. These asanas (postures) not only repair the pancreatic cell but also induce them to secrete insulin. Some of the asanas that have proved beneficial for controlling and reversing type 2 diabetes are briefly described below:Caution: Please do not attempt any of the asanas on your own unless you have been guided by a yoga guru or certified teacher.

Eating The Right Diet - Going Natural
Please remember that Yoga can help you in curing diabetics if and only if you practice a controlled diet. Bad diet is the major cause of diabetics and hence you will need to first work on the cause than the symptoms. Your pancreas stopped functioning because they were fed up of digesting bad processed food products. They gave it their best, but the bad food continued and finally they gave up. So rule of the thumb is to slowly and steadily move towards a natural diet and stop eating processed food. Salt is processed, refined sugar is processed, meat products are processed, junk food is processed. If you look at it, pretty much 80% of the food you currently eat is processed. This is the reason the pancreas stopped working. What is a Natural Diet?
A natural diet is a diet rich in fruits and vegetables in their natural state. This means you will need to consume fruits without mixing them with other processed food products and vegetables without frying them or adding too much spices. Boil the veggies but do not fry them. Similarly do not drink processed fruit juices. Instead go for fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid fruit juices. Simple point to bear in mind - do not use technology/electronics (like gas-stove or mixer) to prepare your breakfast.
If you find this beneficial, start eating fruits 2 meals a day.
What to Avoid:
- 1.) Avoid milk and milk products - butter, cheese, ice cream etc.
2.) Avoid tea and coffee. If you are addicted to tea or coffee, try to reduce the intake slowly and steadily until you can completely stop. Consider taking tea/coffee without adding milk
3.) Avoid food products containing refined sugar
4.) Avoid sugar substitutes. Yes, these can cause harm too
5.) Lower intake of starch rich foods like rice
6.) Avoid processed food and junk food
7.) Lower the intake of meat by replacing meat with vegetables
8.) Avoid soy milk and other processed soy products like tofu
9.) Avoid processed fruit juices
10.) Avoid soda and other fizzy drinks
11.) Avoid smoking and taking alcohol
12.) Avoid food items rich in starch
13.) Avoid taking protein supplements like whey
14.) Reduce the intake of eggs and sea food
Learning to Be Happy
One of the major causes of diabetics apart from a bad diet is stress. Try to be happy as much as possible. Do things that you love. Listen to soft music, talk with close friends, take a hot bath, watch something funny, take a vacation - in other words, do something that will keep you happy and bring you in a good mood. Remember that worrying about problems will not solve them. But being happy will ensure that problems stay away from you. Positive energy attracts positive energy and vise versa. So stop focusing on the problem and open your mind to the vastness of the universe. Practice awareness. Be aware of your being and your body. Live in the now and stop worrying about the past and the future.Practicing Simple Exercises
Going on long walks early in the mornings is the best thing you can do to make your body healthy. You need not jog or run or ride a bicycle. Just walk slowly and steadily. Pick up your walking pace and distance as days go by. As you walk, be happy, appreciate the nature around you, inhale the fresh air and be thankful for it, listen to the birds chirp, feel the aliveness in your body and enjoy yourself.Home Remedy for Gaining Weight
- The most effective and simple remedy to gain weight is to consume banana milk shake. It is a fast way to gain weight.
- Another effective way would be to have banana thrice a day. This should be followed with curd or milk.
- Muskmelon is beneficial in treating underweight problem. Have muskmelon three times a day as it helps in gaining weight.
- Another effective way to cure underweight problem would be to have fruit diet with milk. While fruits nourish the body with sugar, milk provides the proteins.
- An effective way to gain weight would be consume a glass of hot milk with a tablespoon of honey.
- Take a cup of milk and put some almonds, date palm and anjeer in it. Boil this milk and have it when warm. This is helpful in treating underweight problem.

- Raisins are beneficial in solving underweight problems. Have 30 grams of raisins every day for about a month. This would surely cure underweight problems.
- Take 3-4 dry figs and immerse them in water. Keep them overnight. Have this twice a day to get cured of underweight problem.
- Combine equal amounts of pomegranate seed powder, white muesli powder and Indian ginseng root powder. Intake this mixture, twice a day for about a month, along with a glass of water or milk. Not only does it helps gain weight, but also tones up the body.
- Intake 100 to 150 grams of bran with fruits. The best deal would be to take it with papaya. It works as an excellent appetizer improving digestion and reducing constipation.
- Increase in the intake of fatty foods such as flour, rice honey, raisins, figs, dates, butter, germinated wheat, etc.
The Six Chakras
There are six Chakras. Muladara is in the anus.Svadhishthana is near the genital organ. Manipura is in the navel. Anahata is in the heart.
The Vishuddhi Chakra is at the root of the neck. The sixth Chakra, the Ajna is in the head (between the two eyebrows).
After gaining a knowledge of these six Mandalas or spheres, one should enter the Sukhamandala, drawing up the Vayu and sending it upward.
He become one with Brahmanda, the macrocosm, who practices thus the control of Vayu. Vayu, Bindu, Chitta, and Chakra should be mastered by him.
(Yoga-Kundalini Upanishad)
The junctions of Nadis with Sushumna Nadi are known as Chakras, subtle centers of vital energy.
Chakras (wheels or circles) or Lotuses are the dynamic Tattwika (Tattwa means Element), centers in the body, they are situated in various point of Sushumna (spinal cord). They are all supported by the vertebral column; the five regions of the spinal column (coccygeal, sacrum, lumbar, dorsal and cervical region) correspond with the regions of the five Chakra : Muladhara, Svadhishthana, Manipura, Anahata and Vishuddha.
All the functions of the body are under the control of the Chakras in Sushumna.
The Chakras are centres of Pranashakti, Shakti as cosmic energy in latent shape, the presiding Devatas of which are the names for the Universal Consciousness as it manifests in the form of these centres.
A particular Tattwa (Element) preponderates at every Chakra.
In every Chakra a certain animal is represented. It denotes that the center has the qualities, Tattwas or Gunas of that particular animal.
Some Hatayogis say that there are 21 minor Chakras beside the 13 major Chakras, others say that there are 49, while the ancient Yogis taught that there are 144 Chakras.
"The term "Shat-Chakras" refers only to the chief six Chakras, viz., Muladhara, Svadhishthana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha and Ajna. Above all these we have Sahasrara Chakra: this is the chief of all the Chakras. All the Chakras have their intimate connection with this center. Hence this is not included as one among the Shat-Ckras. This is situated above all the Chakras." (Sri Swami Sivananda)
Each Chakra has a particular number of petals with a Sanskrit alphabet on each petal. All the 50 Sanskrit letters are on the 50 petals of the six Chakras. The letters exist in the petals in a latent form. These can be manifested and the vibrations of the Nadis felt during meditation. Chakras are in the Linga Sarira (Astral Body), and cannot be seen by eyes, one can feel and understand the Chakras during concentration and meditation only. Sukshuma (subtle) Prana (vital force) moves in the nervous system of the Linga Sarira. Stoola Prana moves in the nervous system of the gross physical body.
How They Hack Your Website: Overview of Common Techniques
We hear the same terms bandied about whenever a popular site gets hacked. You know… SQL Injection, cross site scripting, that kind of thing. But what do these things mean? Is hacking really as inaccessible as many of us imagine — a nefarious, impossibly technical twilight world forever beyond our ken?
Not really.
When you consider that you can go to Google right now and enter a search string which will return you thousands of usernames and passwords to websites, you realize that this dark science is really no mystery at all. You'll react similarly when you see just how simple a concept SQL Injection is, and how it can be automated with simple tools. Read on, to learn the basics of how sites and web content management systems are most often hacked, and what you can do to reduce the risk of it happening to you.
When you enter text in the Username and Password fields of a login screen, the data you input is typically inserted into an SQL command. This command checks the data you've entered against the relevant table in the database. If your input matches table/row data, you're granted access (in the case of a login screen). If not, you're knocked back out.
The Simple SQL Injection Hack
In its simplest form, this is how the SQL Injection works. It's impossible to explain this without reverting to code for just a moment. Don't worry, it will all be over soon.
Suppose we enter the following string in a Username field:
' OR 1=1
The authorization SQL query that is run by the server, the command which must be satisfied to allow access, will be something along the lines of:
SELECT * FROM users WHERE username = ?USRTEXT '
AND password = ?PASSTEXT?
…where USRTEXT and PASSTEXT are what the user enters in the login fields of the web form.
So entering `OR 1=1 — as your username, could result in the following actually being run:
SELECT * FROM users WHERE username = ?' OR 1=1 — 'AND password = '?
Two things you need to know about this:
['] closes the [username] text field.
'' is the SQL convention for Commenting code, and everything after Comment is ignored. So the actual routine now becomes:
SELECT * FROM users WHERE username = '' OR 1=1
1 is always equal to 1, last time I checked. So the authorization routine is now validated, and we are ushered in the front door to wreck havoc.
Let's hope you got the gist of that, and move briskly on.
Brilliant! I'm gonna go hack me a Bank!
Slow down, cowboy. This half-cooked method won't beat the systems they have in place up at Citibank, evidently.
But the process does serve to illustrate just what SQL Injection is all about — injecting code to manipulate a routine via a form, or indeed via the URL. In terms of login bypass via Injection, the hoary old ' OR 1=1 is just one option. If a hacker thinks a site is vulnerable, there are cheat-sheets all over the web for login strings which can gain access to weak systems. Here are a couple more common strings which are used to dupe SQL validation routines:
username field examples:
Backdoor Injection- Modules, Forums, Search etc.
Hacking web forms is by no means limited exclusively to login screens. A humble search form, for instance, is necessarily tied to a database, and can potentially be used to amend database details. Using SQL commands in search forms can potentially do some extremely powerful things, like calling up usernames and passwords, searching the database field set and field names, and amending same. Do people really get hacked through their search forms? You better believe it. And through forums, and anywhere else a user can input text into a field which interacts with the database. If security is low enough, the hacker can probe the database to get names of fields, then use commands like INSERT INTO, UNION, and so forth to get user information, change product prices, change account settings/balances, and just about anything else… depending on the security measures in place, database architecture and so on.
So you can have security locked down at the login, but poor security on other forms can still be exploited. Unfortunately this is a real worry regarding 3rd party modules for Web CMS products which incorporate forms, and for CMS products these 3rd party modules are often the weakest links which allows hackers access to your database.
Automated Injection
There are tools to automate the process of SQL Injection into login and other fields. One hacker process, using a specific tool, will be to seek out a number of weak targets using Google (searching for login.asp, for instance), then insert a range of possible injection strings (like those listed above, culled from innumerable Injection cheat-sheets on the Web), add a list of proxies to cover his movements, and go play XBox while the program automates the whole injection process.
Remote Injection
This involves uploading malicious files to inject SQL and exploit other vulnerabilities. It's a topic which was deemed beyond the scope of this report, but you can view this PDF if you'd like to learn more.
SQL Injection in the Browser Address Bar
Injections can also be performed via the browser address bar. I don't mean to have a pop at Microsoft, but when it comes to such vulnerabilities, HTTP GET requests with URLs of the following form are most often held to be vulnerable:
http://somesite.com/index.asp?id=10
Try adding an SQL command to the end of a URL string like this, just for kicks:
http://somesite.com/index.asp?id=10 AND id=11
See if both articles come up. Don't shoot your webmaster just yet if it's your own site and you get two articles popping up: this is real low-level access to the database. But some such sites will be vulnerable. Try adding some other simple SQL commands to the end of URLs from your own site, to see what happens.
As we saw above, access to the database raises a number of interesting possibilities. The database structure can be mapped by a skilled hacker through ill-conceived visibility of error messages — this is called database footprinting — and then this knowledge of table names and so forth can be used to gain access to additional data. Revealing error messages are manna - they can carry invaluable table name and structural details.
The following illustrative string is from Imperva.
http://www.mydomain.com/products/products.asp?productid=123 UNION SELECT username, password FROM USERS
There are vast swathes of information on SQL Injection available, here are a couple of good sources:
XSS is about malicious (usually) JavaScript routines embedded in hyperlinks, which are used to hijack sessions, hijack ads in applications and steal personal information.
Picture the scene: you're there flicking through some nameless bulletin board because, yes, you really are that lazy at work. Some friendly girl with broken English implores you to get in touch. 'Me nice gurl', she says. You've always wondered where those links actually go, so you say what the hell. You hover over the link, it looks like this in the information bar:
[%63%61%74%69%6f%6e%3d%274%74%70%3a%2f%2f%77%7…]
Hmmm…what the hell, let's give it a bash, you say. The one thing I really need right now is to see an ad for cheap Cialis. Maybe the linked page satisfies this craving, maybe not. Nothing dramatic happens when you click the link, at any rate, and the long day wears on.
When a link in an IM, email, forum or message board is hexed like the one above, it could contain just about anything. Like this example, from SandSprite, which helps steal a session cookie, which can potentially be used to hijack a session in a web application, or even to access user account details.
Stealing cookies is just the tip of the iceberg though — XSS attacks through links and through embedded code on a page or even a bb post can do a whole lot more, with a little imagination.
XSS is mostly of concern to consumers and to developers of web applications. It's the family of security nightmares which keeps people like MySpace Tom and Mark Zuckerberg awake at night. So they're not all bad then, I suppose…
For additional resources on this topic, here's a great overview of XSS (PDF) and just what can be accomplished with sneaky links. And here's an in-depth XSS video.
Authorization bypass, to gain access to the Admin backend, can be as simple as this:
Copy and paste these into Google:
inurl:passlist.txt
inurl:passwd.txt
…and this one is just priceless…
“login: *” “password= *” filetype:xls
Such strings return very random results, and are of little use for targeted attacks. Google hacking will primarily be used for finding sites with vulnerabilities. If a hacker knows that, say, SQL Server 2000 has certain exploits, and he knows a unique string pushed out by that version in results, you can hone in on vulnerable websites.
For specific targets Google can return some exceptionally useful information: full server configurations, database details (so a good hacker knows what kind of injections might work), and so forth. You can find any amount of SQL database dumps as well (fooling around with a Google hack while preparing this article, I stumbled across a dump for a top-tier CMS developer's website). And a vast amount more besides.
johnny.ihackstuff.com is the man to go to for Google hacks. One interesting one I toyed with invited me to the Joomla! install page for dozens of sites… people who had uploaded Joomla!, decided against installing it, and subsequently had either left the domain to rot, or else set a redirect on the page to, say, their Flickr account (in one case). Allowing anybody to walk in and run through the installer. Other query strings target unprotected email/IM archives, and all sorts of very sensitive information. What fun we can have!
You might think that just because your password now looks something like XWE42GH64223JHTF6533H in one of those files, it means that it can't be cracked? Wrong. Tools are freely available which will decipher a certain proportion of hashed and similarly encoded passwords.
I had posted a link here to a hacking bulletin board containing specific sql injections strings etc. The link pointed to a page which listed numerous hacks targetting various CMS platforms, but containing a disproportionate number of hacks for one platform in particular. In retrospect, and following a specific complaint, I have pulled down this link. Apologies to the complainant and to anyone else who found this link to be inappropriate.
Not really.

http://somesite.com/index.asp?id=10
There are vast swathes of information on SQL Injection available, here are a couple of good sources:
Cross Site Scripting (XSS)
XSS or Cross Site Scripting is the other major vulnerability which dominates the web hacking landscape, and is an exceptionally tricky customer which seems particularly difficult to stop. Microsoft, MySpace, Google… all the big cahunas have had problems with XSS vulnerabilities. This is somewhat more complicated than SQL Injection, and we'll just have a quick look to get a feel for it.XSS is about malicious (usually) JavaScript routines embedded in hyperlinks, which are used to hijack sessions, hijack ads in applications and steal personal information.
Authorization Bypass
Authorization Bypass is a frighteningly simple process which can be employed against poorly designed applications or content management frameworks. You know how it is… you run a small university and you want to give the undergraduate students something to do. So they build a content management framework for the Mickey Bags research department. Trouble is that this local portal is connected to other more important campus databases. Next thing you know, there goes the farmAuthorization bypass, to gain access to the Admin backend, can be as simple as this:
- Find weak target login page.
- View source. Copy to notepad.
- Delete the authorization javascript, amend a link or two.
- Save to desktop.
- Open on desktop. Enter anything into login fields, press enter.
- Hey Presto.
Google Hacking
This is by far the easiest hack of all. It really is extraordinary what you can find in Google's index. And here's Newsflash #1: you can find a wealth of actual usernames and passwords using search strings.Copy and paste these into Google:
inurl:passlist.txt
inurl:passwd.txt
Password Cracking
Hashed strings can often be deciphered through 'brute forcing'. Bad news, eh? Yes, and particularly if your encrypted passwords/usernames are floating around in an unprotected file somewhere, and some Google hacker comes across it.You might think that just because your password now looks something like XWE42GH64223JHTF6533H in one of those files, it means that it can't be cracked? Wrong. Tools are freely available which will decipher a certain proportion of hashed and similarly encoded passwords.
A Few Defensive Measures
- If you utilize a web content management system, subscribe to the development blog. Update to new versions soon as possible.
- Update all 3rd party modules as a matter of course — any modules incorporating web forms or enabling member file uploads are a potential threat. Module vulnerabilities can offer access to your full database.
- Harden your Web CMS or publishing platform. For example, if you use WordPress, use this guide as a reference.
- If you have an admin login page for your custom built CMS, why not call it 'Flowers.php' or something, instead of “AdminLogin.php” etc.?
- Enter some confusing data into your login fields like the sample Injection strings shown above, and any else which you think might confuse the server. If you get an unusual error message disclosing server-generated code then this may betray vulnerability.
- Do a few Google hacks on your name and your website. Just in case…
- When in doubt, pull the yellow cable out! It won't do you any good, but hey, it rhymes.
Helicopters: How They Work
Helicopter
The helicopter is an interesting object in our culture. Originally, it was thought that the helicopter would one day replace the car. However, prices never came down, leaving the helicopter as an icon of wealth or authority. Since the Vietnam War, helicopters have become more associated with conflict than commuting.
To dream of a helicopter probably means that you envision yourself in a situation of potential hazard or needing to be `whisked away' from your present circumstances. The former would be expressed in a helicopter as a means of escape. The latter equates images of romance and wealth.
Here are some of the component parts that make up a helicopter. While this is an example of one specific helicopter (UH-1C), not all helicopters will have all of the parts listed here. Some of this may be a bit more of the same old stuff we have just discussed, but it will show everything as it relates to everything else on the aircraft and the location of each component.
This picture illustrates how the helicopter moves when using the appropriate controls. Up and Down movements are controlled by the "Collective". Side to Side and Forward and Back motions are controlled by the "Cyclic". Lateral control (Also called directional control or "Yaw") is achieved by using the "Foot Pedals".
While you are looking at the picture of the controls (Left side of this paragraph), I will explain how to do a normal takeoff. First, you must make sure the throttle is all the way open (For a turbine powered helicopter, advanced properly for a reciprocating engine powered helicopter). Once you have established the proper operating RPM, then you can pull up slowly on the collective. As you increase collective pitch, you need to push the left pedal (In American helicopters...right pedal for non-American models) to counteract the torque you generate by increasing pitch. (In reciprocating engined models, you will advance the throttle as you increase collective pitch). Keep pulling in pitch and depressing the pedal until the aircraft gets light on the skids. You may sense a turning motion to the left or right, if so, you may need more or less pedal to maintain heading. The cyclic will become sensitive and (depending on how the aircraft leaves the ground heels or toes of the skids last) as you continue to pull in pitch and depress the pedal, you will put in the appropriate cyclic input to level the aircraft as it leaves the ground. As the aircraft eases into the air, forward cyclic will be required to start the aircraft in a forward motion. As the aircraft advances forward, it will gain speed until about 15 knots and then the aircraft will shudder a little as you transition through ETL (Effective Translational Lift...See the unique forces page for a more in depth explanation of ETL). As you transition through ETL, the collective will need to be reduced, the pedal will need less pressure, and the cyclic will need to be forced forward to counteract the force against the front of the rotor system. Failure to push forward will result in an abrupt nose high attitude and a reduction in forward speed. After the shudder of ELT is experienced, you will see a marked gain in forward airspeed, a reduced need for pedal input and a reduced need for collective pitch as the rotor system becomes more efficient. The airspeed indicator will most likely jump from zero to 40 knots indicated airspeed and will smoothly advance as the aircraft goes faster. Now you have taken off and with a little release of foward cyclic pressure, the aircraft will establish a climb and continue to gain airspeed. At this point, the pedals are only used to trim the aircraft, and most maneuvers are accomplished by using a combination of the cyclic and collective controls. (That wasn't so hard...was it?)

Rotary Wing Terminology
Lets talk a moment about terminology. There are many terms associated with rotary wing flight. One must become familiar with the terminology of rotorcraft before they can expect to understand the mechanics of rotary wing flight. Let's look at a few definitions.- Root: The inner end of the blade where the rotors connect to the blade grips.
- Blade Grips: Large attaching points where the rotor blade connects to the hub.
- Hub: Sits atop the mast, and connects the rotor blades to the control tubes.
- Mast: Rotating shaft from the transmission, which connects the rotor blades to the helicopter.
- Control Tubes: Push \ Pull tubes that change the pitch of the rotor blades.
- Pitch Change Horn: The armature that converts control tube movement to blade pitch.
- Pitch: Increased or decreased angle of the rotor blades to raise, lower, or change the direction of the rotors thrust force.
- Jesus Nut: Is the singular nut that holds the hub onto the mast. (If it fails, the next person you see will be Jesus).
Main Rotor System
- Leading Edge: The forward facing edge of the rotor blade.
- Trailing Edge: The back facing edge of the rotor blade.
- Chord: The distance from the Leading Edge to the Trailing Edge of the rotor blade.
Main Rotor Blade
- Swash Plate: Turns non-rotating control movements into rotating control movements.
- Collective: The up and down control. It puts a collective control input into the rotor system, meaning that it puts either "all up", or "all down" control inputs in at one time through the swash plate. It is operated by the stick on the left side of the seat, called the collective pitch control. It is operated by the pilots left hand.
- Cyclic: The left and right, forward and aft control. It puts in one control input into the rotor system at a time through the swash plate. It is also known as the "Stick". It comes out of the center of the floor of the cockpit, and sits between the pilots legs. It is operated by the pilots right hand.
- Pedals: These are not rudder pedals, although they are in the same place as rudder pedals on an airplane. A single rotor helicopter has no real rudder. It has instead, an anti-torque rotor (Also known as a tail rotor), which is responsible for directional control at a hover, and aircraft trim in forward flight. The pedals are operated by the pilots feet, just like airplane rudder pedals are. Tandem rotor helicopters also have these pedals, but they operate both main rotor systems for directional control at a hover.

- Rotor Blade: The rotary wing that provides lift for the helicopter.
- Stabilizer Bar: Dampens control inputs to make smoother changes to the rotor system.
- Swashplate: Transfers non-moving control inputs into the spinning rotor system.
- Cowling: The aerodynamic covering for the engine.
- Mast: Connects the transmission to the rotor system.
- Engine: Provides power to the rotor systems.
- Transmission: Takes power from the engine and drives both rotor systems.
- Greenhouse Window: A tinted window above each of the pilot seats.
- Fuselage: The body of the helicopter.
- Cabin Door: Allows access to the cabin and cockpit.
- Skids: Landing gear that usually have no wheels or brakes.
- Crosstube: The mounting tubes and connection for the skids.
- Motor Mount: A flexible way to attach the engine to the fuselage.
- Tailboom: Also known as an "empenage" is the tail of the helicopter.
- Synchronized Elevator: A movable wing that helps stabilize the helicopter in flight.
- Tailrotor: Provides anti-torque and in-flight trim for the helicopter.
- Tail Rotor Driveshaft: Provides power to the tailrotor from the transmission.
- 45 Degree Gearbox: Transfers power up the vertical fin to the 90 degree gearbox.
- 90 Degree Gearbox: Transfers power from the 45 degree gearbox to the tailrotor.
- Vertical Fin: Holds the tailrotor and provides lateral stabilization.
- Tail Skid: Protects the tailboom when landing.

Lord Hanuma's Marriage
The boons granted by the gods made Hanuman invincible. The monkey child became uncontrollable. He became very mischievous. His pranks irritated many. He did not spare the sages even. He would pounce on them and tear their dress. He would throw fruit and leaves, perched atop trees. They bore with him patiently being aware of his future. One day a sage was very much disturbed by Hanumantha. The sage went into a rage and cursed Hanumantha: “ May you forget your strength with which you have caused us so much of pain”. The curse changed the life of Hanuman altogether. He became very calm and inert. The change pained the sages. They altered the curse on him. They blessed him thus: “If any one reminds you of your strength, you would recognize your strength and abilities and succeed”.
This boon chastened Hanumantha. He became a well-behaved child and an epitome of virtuousness.
Hanuman was growing older. His mother told him: “Son! It is time to get educated. There is no better teacher than Surya, the Sun god, who dispels all darkness. Go to him and gain knowledge.”
Even though he was omnipotent, Hanuman obeyed his mother. He reached the Surya Mandala and humbly prayed the Sun god: “O! Surya Deva, I want to learn Vedas, Vedangas, and Upangas from you. Please teach me.” Surya replied: “O! Boy of Anjana, I am always on the move, as ordained by Almighty, how can I teach you? ”
Hanuman was angered. He blocked the path of Surya. Surya pacified Hanuman. He said: “I have no objection to teach you. But you have to find a way to learn”.
Hanuman stood facing the sun and started walking backwards. Surya was moving forward and was teaching Hanuman. Lord Siva is said to know all and Hanuman, who is Lord Siva’s incarnation, proved to be one who knows all as well. With in a week of his education, he astonished Surya. Surya praised Hanuman. Hanuman wanted to continue his education. Instead of walking backward, he put one foot on the rising hill and the other one on the setting hill to face the Sun god. Hanuman’s interest and devotion pleased the Sun god. Surya taught all that is to be taught to Hanuman.
Surya was married to Sanjana, a daughter of Viswakarma. Sanjana was devoted wife but was unable to bear the heat emanating from the Sun’s rays. She was suffering with anguish. Her mother noticed the daughter’s plight and sought to know as to what the problem was. Sanjana explained her problem to her mother. Her mother in turn told Viswakarma of Sanjana’s problem. Viswakarma told Surya that he would polish off some of the luminescence of Surya. Surya agreed. Viswakarma was able to polish off some luminescence of his son-in-law. The luminescence thus separated took the form of young woman. Her beauty and grace astonished even gods. Indra wanted to know as to who would marry that shinning brilliant young women. Brahma thought for a while and replied: “Hanuman who is essence of Lord Siva’s fiery power will marry the young woman. Since Hanuman tried to grab the ever glowing Sun god, he alone can bear this glowing young woman”.
Surya remembered Brahma’s utterance. By than Hanuman’s education was complete. He was ready to graduate. He bowed to Lord Surya and said: “O! My divine teacher! Thanks to you I am educated now. I would like to take your leave now. I would like to offer you an appropriate fee as Guru Dakshina. Kindly order me”.
Surya immediately replied: “O Hanuman, you are the incarnation of Lord Siva who bore the poisonous HAALAAHALA to save the universe when the ocean was churned. You are also son of Agni, the fire god. Viswakarma separated a part of my luminescence and the world is unable to bear it. You are the only one who can bear it. So I want to offer you my daughter Suvarchala formed from my ‘VARCHAS’ (luminescence), in marriage. Marry my daughter. Since husband is the one who is to bear, you also bear my ‘Suvarchas’ by marrying Suvarchala. Your marrying her shall be my Guru Dakshina”.
Hanuman listened to his teacher and replied politely: “O Lord! I have decided to follow Brahmacharya through out my life. How can I marry?” Surya replied: “O Hanuman, this Suvarchala is a divine one, Ayonija. She would be a devoted wife. I am giving you the boon that you would still be a Brahmachari even after marriage. You would continue to be a Prajapatya Brahmachari. Your marriage is only for the welfare of the Universe and it would not affect your chosen course of celibacy. You were a born Brahmachari with a Yajnopavita (Sacred thread). Brahmacharya will be your eternal pursuit. Since you are going to be a Brahma in future, Suvarchala will then occupy the place of Vani”.
Hanuman obeyed his preceptor’s advice. Surya presented Suvarchala to Hanuman. It is stated in PARASARA SAMHITA, that Surya offered his daughter Suvarchala in marriage on JYESTHA SUDDHA DASAMI. It was a Wednesday under the star UTTARA. Those who respect tradition, even to this day, observe “HANUMAT KALYANAM” (Hanuman’s Marriage) on JYESTHA SUDDHA DASAMI day.
Short Stories
The last Parachute
A pilot and his four passengers were on an airplane that was about to crash. The four passengers were Michael Jordan, Bill Clinton, a hippie, and old man. Unfortunately, there were only four parachutes on the plane. The pilot yelled, "I'm the pilot!" and jumped off with one of the parachutes. Michael Jordan said, "I'm the world's greatest athlete!" and jumped off with another parachute. Bill Clinton said, "I am the world's smartest man!" and jumped out of the plane. This left the hippie and the old man alone in the rapidly-descending airplane. "I'm old," said the old man, "so you can have the last parachute." "Nah, that's okay, man," the hippie said. "The world's smartest man just jumped out with my bag."
The Greedy Lion
Once a lion felt hungry. He came out of his den to look for some animal for his food. He saw a hare.It was playing happily under a tree. The lion walked towards the hare. The hare saw the lion and began to run in fear. So the lion also began to run after it. Soon the lion caught the hare.
Just as the lion raised his fore -foot to kill the hare, he sighted a deer. He thought that the small hare would not fill his belly. So he let the hare go off with long steps. The lion could not catchup with the deer. After a long chase, the lion was tired. He gave up the chase. He felt sorry for letting the hare off
Moral: A bird in hand is worth than two in the bush.
The Old Couple’s Mistake
Once there lived an old couple along with their daughter-in-law and their 5 year old grandson. Since the daughter-in-law was employed only the old couples were taking care of their grandson. One day there was a misunderstanding between the old couples and they started to quarrel in front of the grandson itself. The 5 year old boy was keenly observing all these things. Suddenly his grandmother took her suitcase and went to her sister’s home which was also nearby. Her mother-in-law’s sister’s residence is located near a police station.
That evening when their daughter-in-law came home and found that her mother-in-law was not there she took her 5 year old son and went to the bus stop and took a bus. While the conductor came she asked a ticket for police station. Suddenly the boy started crying. When his mom asked for the reason he said “You are going to lauch a complaint against my grand pa. only because of that you are going to the police station”. His mom really felt very ashamed because she mentioned “Police Station” only as a bus stop but the child has taken it in a wrong way.
So the elders must avoid quarreling in front of the kids as they will observe each and everything keenly.
Brilliant Strange Man
This is a real incident that happened few months ago to a known person of mine. My friend Ram and his brother Sankar went to a restaurant in a town. They chose a table of 4 which was empty. Thinking that no one should disturb them they sat in that table and started ordering the items. When they were in the second round of selection of items a third person neatly dressed came and sat in front of them. Since he came in the middle of their meals they dint consider him as a disturbance as they were about to finish their meals. The third person ordered 4-5 items and asked to parcel those items for him. When the server said that the items were ready he went straight to the cashier and spoke something with him and left the hotel with the parcels. Ram and his brother were not much bothered about him and were waiting for the bills. When the server brought the bills it was quiet shocking for both of them because the amount of very huge. When asked for clarity the server said that the third person had told to the cashier that he is a relative of Ram and also asked the cashier to include the parcel bill in their account. When Ram refused to accept the bill the server and the cashier threatened them that they will call the police if amount is not paid. So to avoid the embarrassing situation Ram paid the entire bill and left the restaurant. So people, we must be aware of what is happening around us very carefully.
The Girl’s Innocence
Chitra is a young, beautiful final year college student. One day a vacation trip was arranged in her college. She studied in a co-education college so both boys and girls left to enjoy the vacation with their lecturers. Chitra was friendly with everyone in her class. She also had very good friends in both sex. During the trip she took photos with many of her class mates. Just like that she took a snap with a friend named Raju. The trip was very good and they returned to their home town safely. One fine day there was a post to Chitra’s residence and the post was received by her father. When the cover was opened her father was shocked and shouted at Chitra. She was confused because she dint know the reason for her father’s anger. When she asked for the reason her father showed her the photo that was in that cover. Seeing the photo even Chitra was very much shocked because it was the snap that she took with her friend Raju. Chitra tried to convince her father by saying that the picture was taken only on a friendly manner and she was not in affair with that guy. But her father refused to accept all these and he discontinued her studied. Being in the final year Chitra begged her dad to allow her to college, but her father dint allow.
The Silent Old Man
This incident happened to one of my friend when we were in our childhood. He was a child who didn't have hair on his head. He liked to watch me and our other friends while we were playing. He would join us now and then, but he preferred watching. Every day, we would see an old man walking by our playground, carrying a walking stick. He had big ears and a bald head. The moment my friends saw him pass by, they shouted, "Hey you, deaf and dumb, what's your name?". When my friend asked why they did so, they told my friend that he could neither hear nor speak.
On an early evening, my friend was standing at the gate of his house, when he saw the old man coming. There were no friends around to shout the usual words. But how could he let this man walk by without saying anything? So for the first time, he asked in a soft voice with fear, "Hey you deaf and dumb, what's your name? The old man looked at him, and replied, "My name is Narayanan". My friend ran inside the house and never shouted at the old man after that day.

THE GREGORIAN CALENDAR SCREWED UP REAL TIME The Pyramid of the Moon
The ancient city of Teotihuacan is located 50 kilometers north-east of the center of Mexico city and is well worth at least one or two days of exploration. There are many restored buildings to explore, as well as artwork and artifacts recovered from the site, as well as the two enormous structures for which the city is best known, the Pyramid of the Moon, shown here, and the even larger Pyramid of the Sun. Unlike the pyramids of Egypt, the pyramids at Teotihuacan aren't build of solid stone, instead they consist of stone and brick rubble covered with layers of cut stone, however they're still an extraordinary achievement, especially since all this was done without the benefit of pack animals, metal tools or the wheel

Pyramid of the Sun
The Pyramid of the Sun, with an estimated weight of three million tons, is much larger than the Pyramid of the Moon, and was also built earlier. Each side is 222 meters long and it's over 70 meters high, making it the third largest pyramid in the world by volume, after the Great Pyramid of Cheops in Egypt and the unrestored pyramid at the Mexican city of Cholula. Unfortunately because of the building method a lot of reconstruction was needed to get it to its current state, and there's considerable uncertainty about its original appearance
THE MAYAN CALENDAR DOES NOT END IN 2012
KEEP READING!!!
The date December 21st, 2012 A.D. (13.0.0.0.0 in the Long Count), represents an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (path of the Sun), what that ancient Maya recognized as the Sacred Tree. This is an event that has been coming to resonance very slowly over thousands and thousands of years. It will come to resolution at exactly 11:11 am GMT.
The Tzolkin is a 260-day calendar based around the period of human gestation. It is composed of 20 day-signs, each of which has 13 variations, and was (and still is) used to determine character traits and time harmonics, in a similar way to Western astrology. The Maya also used a 365-day calendar called the Haab, and a Venus calendar, plus others. They measured long time periods by means of a Long Count, in which one 360-day year (a "Tun"), consists of 18 x 20-day "months" ("Uinals"). Twenty of these Tuns is a Katun; 20 Katuns is a Baktun (nearly 400 years); and 13 Baktuns adds up to a "Great Cycle" of 1,872,000 days, ( 5200 Tuns, or about 5125 years).
Mayan scholars have been attempting to correlate the Long Count with our Western Gregorian calendar, since the beginning of this century. There has been massive variation in the suggested correlations, but as early as 1905, Goodman suggested a correlation only 3 days from the most popular one today. Known as the GMT correlation, or "correlation # 584283", this was finalized in 1950, and puts the start of the Great Cycle ( day 0.0.0.0.0) on 11th August 3114 BC, and the end-date (known as 13.0.0.0.0.) as 21st December 2012.
Jose Arguelles has pointed out that the Tzolkin is a harmonic of the Great Cycle, and can be used to map history, as if it is measuring not individual gestation but species gestation, since 5 Great Cycles add to exactly 26,000 Tuns; the "Grand Year" or precession of the equinoxes - a higher harmonic of 260.
NOTE: The astronomer Philip Plait has stated very clearly that the Mayan calendar does not end in 2012 at all, that it is like the odometer on your car, as each section of the odometer reaches 9 and then clicks over to 0, the next number to it starts a new cycle, so that when all the numbers again reach 0 all the way across the odometer - the last number will change from 1 to 2 and the new cycle starts all over again.

Sunspot Cycles; Adrian Gilbert and Maurice Cotterell, in their book the Mayan Prophecies, say that the end of the Great Cycle is the culmination of a series of long-term sunspot cycles which will flip the sun’s magnetic field, causing earthquakes and flooding on earth. Moreover, the changing magnetic field will alter the endocrine production of the pineal gland. John Major Jenkins has pointed out that the detailed graphs of the cycles do not actually show significant termination points at the end of the Great Cycle; click here for Jenkins' full unabridged review of The Mayan Prophecies.
According to John Major Jenkins, it will take 36 years to precess through the Galactic equator. The Galactic Alignment "zone" is 1998 +/- 18 years = 1980 to 2016. This is "era 2012" [So why are we worried?] |
Generally speaking, scientifically accepted records of sunspot activity do seem to be heading for a climax in the near future.
Note: Real science is predicting the next/current sun cycle to be the worst in 50 years. The first two sunspot's of 2006 are moving in reverse direction.

The place where the December solstice sun crosses the Milky Way is precisely the location of the "dark-rift in the Milky Way ...'xibalba be' - the road to the underworld." On the winter solstice of 2012, the noonday Sun exactly conjuncts the crossing point of the sun's ecliptic with the galactic plane, while also closely conjuncting the exact the center of the galaxy.

The sky on December 21st, 2012 A.D. showing a rare astronomical alignment - the winter solstice sun is right in the "dark rift" in the Milky Way. The Milky Way Galaxy is the inspiration for the symbol of the Ouroboros. Myth refers to a serpent of light residing in the heavens. The Milky Way is this serpent, and viewed at galactic central point near sagittarius, this serpent eats its own tail. A new crop circle has just appeared on 7-27-08 that is similar to the symbols above: The winter solstice sun will be aligned in the Serpent's mouth on 21 December 2012, at 11:11 AM Universal Time. The new formation may also represent the great cosmic Serpent of the Milky Way galaxy, biting its own tail, sometimes called an Ouroboros -- The Milky Way galaxy keeps a great time cycle that ends in catastrophic change. The sign of the SUNTELIA AION is the sun rising out of the mouth of the ouroboros, which will occur on the solstice December 2012. The Greeks called the End of the Age the SUNTELIA AION Ancient historians and especially Plato referred to a cycle of catastrophe at the End of the Age. The AION was symbolized by the Ouroboros. Dear Friends, For a long time the professional scientific community has resisted the thought that the different time periods of the Mayan calendar are driving cosmic and human evolution through their influence on consciousness. While of course a large number of professional Mayanists have worked with elucidating the structure of the calendar system of the ancient Maya there has always been a resistance to acknowledging that there would be a reality behind these energies. Hence, even though it may not have been said so directly these cosmic energies have often been regarded as some kind of superstitions. A beginning of a shift in attitude now however seems to be on its way. At an international conference in Systems Theory at the University of Liege in Belgium Professor Tadeja Jere Lazanski won the award for best scientific paper in the CASYS'09 (Computing Anticipatory Systems) conference: http://www.upr.si/fileadmin/user_upload/Novice/sporocila_za_javnost/ Tadeja_Jere_Lazanski_CASYS_09-The_Best_Paper_Award.jpg for "Systems Thinking: Ancient Maya's Evolution of Consciousness and Modern Systems Thinking." http://www.upr.si/fileadmin/user_upload/Novice/ CASYS09-Systems_-_Mayan_Evolution_of_Consciousness-Lazanski.pdf The paper outlines the nine levels of evolution that are developed according to the Mayan calendar system and places them in the context of Systems Theory. In short Dr Jere Lazanski is driving the thesis that what the ancient Maya saw as a plan driven by divine energies is what now is generally referred to as the big picture. This initial breakthrough into mainstream science of the true Mayan calendar system of Nine Underworlds and Thirteen Heavens is very significant and it opens for the first time a road to discussing not only the Mayan calendar, but also the many evolutionary progressions that it describes in certain scholarly settings. It is also noteworthy that, in contrast, the urban legend of a "galactic alignment" as the basis for the Mayan Long Count for good reasons has consistently been rejected by professional scientists (see for instance Vincent Malmström, The Astronomical Insignificance of Maya date 13.0.0.0, http://www.dartmouth.edu/~izapa/M-32.pdf). That the breakthrough into established science of the True Mayan calendar system first happened in Systems Theory is understandable. It is only from the perspective of the whole system that the Mayan calendar can be seen to make sense and any specialized science such as professional Mayanism, history, biology or physics would have to undergo so significant changes in its methodology and general approaches in order to recognize the validity of the Mayan calendar system that this would only happen against a much greater resistance. I congratulate Professor Jere Lazanski for her contribution to science and feel this recognition indicates the beginning of an increased openness in the scientific community to the deeper meaning of the Mayan calendar. THE FOLLOWING IS FROM OTHER RESEARCHERS The astrological chart for 21 Dec 12:12 Central European Time We believe the time is 21 Dec 11:11 based on the U.S. Naval Observatory at http://www.usno.navy.mil/USNO/astronomical-applications Major Jenkins believes the time to be 21 Dec 11:13. In his book Maya Cosmogenesis 2012, he shows an observatory at: On page 35, he states, "The early Zapotec capital of Monte Alban is located on a mountaintop outside of present day Ozxaca. Most structures at Monte Alban are oriented 4 degrees to 8 degrees east of north. Structure 1, a strange arrow-shaped building is different. Archaeoastronomers Anthony Aveni and David Linsley determined that this building loosely points to the setting positions of the five bright stars of the Southern Cross. This alignment occurred in the precessional era of 250 B.C. when these structures were built. Overall, the loose 3 degree range of the alignment is not very impressive. However, Aveni noted another alignment that yields more interesting results. The perpendicular to Structure J's baseline shoots through what was an opening or doorway in Structure P points northeast to where the bright star Capella was seen to rise in the processional era of 275 B.C. During this time Capella made its first reappearance in the predawn sky (its heliacal rise) on May 8, which is the first solar zenith passage date at the latitude of Monte Alban. Solar zenith passages (when the sun passes through the zenith at high noon) were important indicators of the zenith center and told the Mesoamerican farmer when the rainy season was about to commence. Solar zenith passages occur only within the Tropics, that is between latitudes 23.5 degrees S and 23.5 degrees N. Amazingly platform Structure B through which the Capella observations were sighted, houses Monte Alban's famous zenith tube. This vertical tube leads into an underground chamber where zenith passage measurements of the sun and stars could be made. Zenith tubes have been found at other sites, such as Xochicalco in Central Mexico. They probably understood that the zenith center was located in 'time' as well as in space, because solar zenith passages occur only twice every year. The solar year (the haab), the tzolkin and intervals between zenith passages all contributed to the ancient Mesoamerican's developing calendric cosmology. It was the synchronization in time of key points in these different cycles that would define the center of time and space. However, it might be better to say that key alignments in large time cycles open the doorway to the center of spacetime, rather than define that center. Teotihuacan, the great Toltec metropolis where the Fifth sun was born, also contains evidence of having been constructed according to an astronomical plan. Several scholars have argued that an alignment with the Pleiades was responsible for the founding orientation of Teotihuacan. The axis perpendicular to the famous Street of the dead pointed to the setting position of the Pleiades. The two "pecked crosses" that scholars believe were used to lay out the city lie along this axis. The pecked cross in the group of structures called the Viking Group is just east of the Street of the Dead, and the Cerro Colorado pecked cross is some distance to the west. John Major Jenkins tells us this in his introduction: "The eclipse is the path traveled by the sun, moon, and planets through the sky. Twelve constellations lie along the ecliptic, and the sun passes through all twelve during the course of one year. The ecliptic cross over the Milky Way at a 60 degree angle near the constellation Sagittarius. As such, it forms a cross with the Milky Way, and this cosmic cross was called the Sacred Tree by the ancient Maya. (The cross form was also known as the "crossroads." Amazingly, the center of this cosmic cross, that is right where the ecliptic crosses over the Milky Way is exactly where the December solstice sun will be in A.D. 2012. This alignment occurs only once every 25,800 years. "The Milky Way is observed as a bright, wide band of stars arching through the sky. In the clear skies of ancient Mesoamerica, many dark, blotchy areas could be observed along the Milky Way's length. These are "dark cloud" formations caused by interstellar dust. The most prominent of these is called the "dark-rift" or the "Great Cleft" of the Milky Way. It looks like a dark road running along the Milky Way, and it points right at the cosmic crossing point, the center of the Maya Sacred Tree, right where the sun will be in 2012! The Maya called this dark-rift the Black Road, or the Road to the Underworld. They seem to have imagined it as a portal to another world, and the December solstice sun can enter it only in A.D. 2012. "The area of the sky where all of these symbols and celestial objects converge is the center of our Milky Way Galaxy. This was perhaps the most astounding thing I discovered. The par of the Milky Way that the December solstice sun will conjunct is also where the center of our Galaxy (the Galactic Center) is located. It is the cosmic womb from which new stars are born, and from which everything in our Galaxy, including humans, came. In the cosmos - 1 minute time is not going to make that big a difference considering the vast amount of space between our sun and the center of the Milky Way as seen from Earth. THE CROP CIRCLE CONNECTION The number 26, The Mayan Tzolkin, and the Grid Crop Circle In "SC" # 68, Michael Glickman interpreted the 1997 Etchilhampton "Grid" crop formation (above) as a pointer to 2012. The formation was a 30 x 26 checkerboard-like grid, giving a total of 780 squares. This, Michael theorized, could indicate the thirty 26-week periods between 1997 and 2012. Geoff adds that the 780 squares of the grid are exactly divisible by the TZOLKIN, or Mayan Sacred Calendar, which is a grid of 260 squares with sides of 13 x 20. Three Tzolkins fit into the crop grid pattern. Two fit straight in and the third after bisection. The grid seems related to a "map" called "Psi Bank Warp and Holonomic Woof" mentioned in a book called "Earth Ascending," by Jose Arguelles (page 121). The "map" consists of eight Tzolkins joined together showing relationships between the Mayan calendar, the "I Ching" and the 64 DNA codons. Arguelles researched the Mayan calendar, physics, philosophy, geomancy and the "I Ching," and concluded that mankind is creating a "noosphere," or mind layer, around the Earth, which is evolving towards the "Omega Point of Planetary Awakening" in 2012, according to Teillard de Chardin.
Controversially appearing over two consecutive nights at Silbury Hill, Wiltshire on 2-3 August, according to resident 2012 prophecy expert and numerical conundrum whiz Geoff Stray, this vast wheel of ancient Maya symbols included “the double square spiral - the Maya symbol for jaguar snouts, which indicates an entrance to the underworld”. Given that, as is now widely known, the Maya calendar indicates an end-of-time point in the year 2012, this gave the UK newspapers something to get their teeth into, the Daily Mail dubiously proclaiming it ‘The Doomsday Crop Circle’. Much of the speculation about the 2012 connections made in the wake of this formation was highly questionable, but it made good headlines. Not that the press needed a genuine phenomenon to fill its columns; indeed the Sunday Express went out of its way to debunk the Mayan glyph, devoting two pages to doing this, perhaps in an effort to ‘get one over’ on its rival newspaper. Among the many claims and counter-claims made about the symbolism of this formation, one widely-circulated e-mail article by C Lewis (pseudonym) from Australia stated the Mayan wheel depicted a ‘Calendar clock’, counting down to 2012. Joe Mason explains the Aztec Sun Stone Calendar. The outer ring portion of the Stone is said to be twin serpents, one light and the other dark. I believe the two represent the twins, Quetzalcoatl and Xolotl. They relate to Venus, corresponding to The Morning Star and Evening Star. Quetzalcoatl, of course, is also known as Kukulkan (or Kukulcan) and the Feathered Serpent. Perhaps the depiction of two types of feathers in the center of the formation hint at the feathered twins of the Aztecs. They are positioned in a general Vesica Piscis arrangement, also suggestive of duality. Quetzalcoatl translates to plumed serpent. The word quetzalli eventually came to mean "treasure, or precious". The word coatl came to mean "dragon" as well as "snake" and occasionally "twin", hence it could mean "Precious Twin". 2012 is the Chinese Year of the Dragon The Dragon's Breath = Qi - Wind Feng Shui or commonly called Qi (Chi) energy force The Dragon's BreathWind Feng Shui or commonly called Qi (Chi) energy force
We find this interesting parallel in the book of Revelations:
Joe Mason, contributed this excerpt from Moira Timms' book, "Beyond Prophecies and Predictions" (p. 256): " "The name Quetzalcoatl is derived from the quetzal bird of Guatemala and Mexico. The quetzal had golden-green and scarlet plumage, and was considered the most beautiful of all birds. "Quetzal" also means precious. "Coatl" is serpent. In the Maya language, "Kukulcan" means approximately the same thing. According to Hunbatz Men, "Ku" is sacred, God. "Kul" is coccyx, the base of the spine, where latent spiritual energy resides. "Can" means serpent. "Kukulcan" therefore is synonymous with "kundalini" - which is what the Kukulcan/Quetzalcoatl archetype is all about, of course. To be iconographically correct, however, the god Quetzalcoatl is not himself the feathered serpent, but the one who emerges from the serpent, just as the spirit emerges from the body through the top of the head, and the Morning Star emerges from the horizon." 69 Venus was an important astrological symbol for the Mexica and was called "Tlauixcalpantecuhtli", which means - Lord of the House of Dawn. The planet had two aspects and was shown and revered as two gods. One, as Morning Star, was kind, and was the Precious Twin, Quetzalcoatl. He held the sun in the sky in the morning. His dark twin Xolotl ruled Venus in the Evening and during the night. Xolotl pushed the sun into darkness. Interestingly, ancient myths tell of the Creator Serpent. James Churchward wrote that this does not represent the Creator, but rather, the way the Creator creates. Joseph Campbell wrote that the ancients usually used the serpent to represent change, by the death/rebirth of shedding the old skin. The symbols seem to tell us that the Creator creates through changes. The Aztec twin serpents fit well with the same meaning. The outer ring of the "Aztec" crop circle formation has 20 x 2 = 40 segments. I believe this may be related to two interlaced five-pointed stars, as displayed in a number of crop circle formations. The cropcircleconnector.com people explain: August 4, 2004 Silbury Hill, Wiltshire, England - Whoever, or whatever, is responsible for the August 2 to 3, 2004, crop formation at Silbury Hill, the design in its border is a mirror image of a rare statue of the Aztec God, Xochipilli, The Prince of Flowers, Maizes, Love, Games, Beauty, Song and Dance. Historically, the Aztec name for the huge basaltic monolith is Cuauhxicalli Eagle Bowl, but it is universally known as the Aztec Calendar or Sun Stone. It was during the reign of the 6th Aztec monarch in 1479 that this stone was carved and dedicated to the principal Aztec deity: the sun. The stone has both mythological and astronomical significance. It weighs almost 25 tons, has a diameter of just under 12 feet, and a thickness of 3 feet. The Mexicans, as all other Meso-Americans, believed in the periodic destruction and re-creation of the world. The "Calendar Stone" in the Museo Nacional de AntropologÃa (National Museum of Anthropology) in Mexico City depicts in its central panel the date 4 Ollin (movement), on which they anticipated that their current world would be destroyed by earthquake, and within it the dates of previous holocausts: 4 Tiger, 4 Wind, 4 Rain, and 4 Water. . Every 52 years the tonalpohualli and the xiuhpohualli calendars would align. This marked what was known as a Mesoamerican "century." Tonatiuh's Face is the face of the sun, Lord of Heaven, around which takes place all daily and periodic phenomena. First ring from Center. Four Ollin representing the Earthquake Epoch or Sun. The four epochs represented inside the square portions of this symbol correspond to the four previous epochs also called suns. Second Ring - The second ring from the center is composed of 20 named days contained in one month, also used for naming years. Each year starts on one of four of these 20 days. The Calendar date '4 Ollin' will be in 2012. Actually I made a mistake, in that only 19 fine lines show up for each inner clock-hand, not 20 (couldn't see from early photos)! Hence the inner calendar actually reads (6 + 6).19.19 = 12.19.19 rather than 12.20.20 = 13.0.0 as for any full Sun of 5200 years. That is like writing "999" just before "1000", and means (like on the outer dial) that the end of the Fourth Sun is near: but only one year and not 8.67? Alternatively, something important might be scheduled to happen next year (at the end of 2005), then something again in December 2012? A lot of intellectual content for a fake! Some additional physical or testimonial evidence is perhaps needed Excerpted from Cropcircleconnector.com archives of 2004

2005-Uffington-UK This crop circle is communicating harmomics of the "Time of the Sixth Sun" we are currently in the Fifth Sun time era. Compare this Crop circle to the Sixth Sun "DreamStar" tone systems diagram see attached Link - notice in the crop circle there are 16 small squares that form the large square outside in the image. In the Crop circle "Inner circle" there is a Six pointed Star like star of David points=Six and Star=Sun thus means "Sixth Sun" the time era coming upon the completion of this current 5th Sun. The Mayan periods/cycles of Time known as SUNS. Some sources cite we are in 4th Sun and some cite 5th Sun. These are the same depending upon if you start counting at "zero" or "one" start at Zero: 0 1 2 3 (4) 5 start at One: 1 2 3 4 (5) 6 We are currently in the (4)th or (5)th SUN depending upon where start counting. And we are moving into either the (5)th or (6)th SUN/world again depending on where you start counting. Best guess is that we are entering SIXTH SUN according to Maya 2012 date. The image shows but one of them is a shift or change in the harmonics of creation. Some Crop Circles are communicating this shift/change. The current Mayan Tzolkin has 13 tones and the Sixth Sun Tzolkin has 17 tones. These numbers 13 and 17 can be found in various Crop Circles. As other related numbers like the "center" number [7] or [9]. This final cycle is a culmination of the Baktun of the Transformation of Matter and began in the year 1756 to be completed in the year 2012. The energy of LAMAT is to ‘Seal [the whole mind of the world] with the Star-Seed Harmony’. LAMAT heralds a new way of living on Earth and a new experience and understanding of material life, including our own bodies. This is certainly reflected in the beautiful and elegant symmetry of this crop circle. On top of all that, the particular shape of the formation is also found in a symbol for Mother Mary, an ancient Goddess figure, as well as a venerated Christian icon. Mary’s symbol based on Maltese cross and pagan symbol In this symbol, we see references to the four solar turning-points of the year, as well as the lunar aspects (dark and light circles), rendering Her, Lady of All the World. An interesting point is that LAMAT as a word stands for ‘rabbit’ which is also a long-standing symbol for the Goddess. Michelle Jennings Sources Arguelles, José. Crop Circle predicts the coming of the Christ child
After you have read this, I ask that you share this message with as many people as possible. A copy of it is available at http://www.metatronminutes.net/Crop_circle_predicts.htm and as a downloadable pdf from the Articles page at http://www.metatronminutes.com/ I am about to share with you a profound channeling. It has to do with the unfolding of an event which may or may not already be in your awareness. This event is widely known as Ascension. Ascension involves a transition in consciousness for the inhabitants of planet Earth and the planet itself.
For many of you, this will come as a surprise. For others, it is a term with which you are familiar; however what it means may be a little unclear. For others, you may have a clear view of what you believe it means, however most of us have been subject to a lot of disinformation about it and, frankly, the specifics have not been available to fully understand - until now.
There have been many messages from many places about Ascension. What is different about this one is that it is directly associated with a crop circle pattern that was laid down on July 22, 2008 at Avebury Manor in England. http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2008/aveburymanor2/aveburymanor2008b.html
Taken from the above page at www.cropcircleconnector.com
Those who have analysed this pattern have realised it is telling us something about December 2012, the time of the ending of the Mayan Calendar, including the arrival of a comet that, according to the crop circle site, our astronomers are as yet unaware of.For some of you, the idea that crop circles are not manmade and carry messages for humanity will come as a surprise. If so, I suggest you browse www.cropcircleconnector.com and see for yourself the extraordinary patterns that are being laid down. You will quickly realise these patterns are not, for the most part, manmade and if you want to examine these phenomena in more detail, I highly recommend Star Dreams.
How come these extraordinary messages receive no mainstream publicity? I'll leave you to reflect on that question as a thread by which you may begin to pull your perceived reality apart.
If you are unfamiliar with the ending of the long cycle Mayan Calendar in December 2012, here is a link to some pages on this site: MAYAN DATA
The arrival of comets has a deep sub-conscious pull for mankind as they have been seen and understood over the millennia as messengers alerting us to great change. And so it is with this one.
And now, to the channeling.
We have the explanation that Lord Metatron was going to provide to us in relation to the Crop Circle. The comet coming in relation to, around the time of, Jeshua's birth.
I am being directed to Galactic Centre.
And of course looking at our galaxy, not from the inside but from the exterior, I see a bulge, which looks like a line going through it. They wanted to show me that first. And then they're taking me inside. I am standing there in the black hole which is right outside of Galactic Centre. And in 2012 there's all this energy being fed into Galactic Centre through the black hole. I'm tracing where it's coming from. There's a whole string. Energy is like being... it's coming from a constellation of stars. I don't know how far it is - in another dimension.
It is other life that is held in black matter. We've talked about this, the yin and the yang, the plus and the minus. So black matter is life just like us except it is the opposite electrical field.
And so this energy is coming from a very advanced constellation. Actually it's three constellations set up in the pattern that we are familiar with - the triangle. And it is the cycle. They're sending the energy through this black hole into Galactic Centre. 2012, December - the date that that energy comes through the black hole is not the same date that the child will be born. Even though it might seem that it should be instantaneous it is not. There is a lag period from the time that it comes through the black hole. No. It is not that. From the time that it is discharged from this triangular configuration and then moves through the black hole and then into Galactic Centre. And it is that energy that comes through in December that transforms Earth. Not only Earth but it imprints our entire solar system. And so all the planets are shari ng in this energy pattern. The other planets in our solar system, they imprint this energy also. Of course the energy comes through the sun.
I'm seeing the 28th. The child to be born on the 28th.
Energy comes through the sun and joins that moment. It will repeat what happened earlier when the solar wind stopped (1999) http://science.nasa.gov/newhome/headlines/ast13dec99_1.htm. The electrons that are the solar wind will stop. It will stop for three days, as that energy which came through the black hole imprints Earth. And of course it will imprint all of the other planets. The planets, each of them imprinting in some fashion their energy. Because each planet has a different energy, you know, and a different purpose. And during those three days this energy will completely alter the particles on Earth. They will be transformed. It will be like an explosion into eve ry particle on Earth, and human beings even, where the electrons will have more space in between them. The planet will be re-patterned.
And there will be many who will not be able to withstand the change in the energy pattern because they have done no preparation. And if their bodies have not been cleared and they are filled with, as you call it, stuck energy from the past, they will perish during those three days. It's not a punishment mind you. It's just that they will not - the physical - will not be able to be supported with the change in the energy. Just because this energy has come does not mean that every soul who is here on this planet will survive.
They all have the opportunity to ascend.
But those who have not worked on this process will not survive the pressure against the physical. The changing in the cells will be too much for them. Those who have prepared or have been attempting to prepare will have cells that are crystalline. Those who have not prepared at all, their cells will be carbon based and they will not be able to survive under this (he is showing me this great pressure that will be exerted upon it) great pressure. They will die from it.
And those who are of the dark, who have no intention of moving towards the light, will not be able to exist in these energies either.
And so the good news is everyone has the opportunity to ascend. And the good news is those who perish will reincarnate in another place where the energies will be similar.
This is the justice of the moment, in a sense. Those who have worked will receive their reward. Those who have not will receive also what they didn't give. Each will have their own result.
And so what the crop circle is telling you is that this great change has to do with Galactic Centre. The energy comes through because of all the alignments. It is simply the alignments that allow the energy to come in on a straight line to come to Earth. It is like a lock, where you need a key to unlock the lock. And that is what 2012 is. This giant clockwork in the cosmos has lined up in a certain fashion for the energy to come through. And as this process unfolds, and as in so many things in life, humanity has always been warned.
Warnings are not always dire things. Warnings can sometimes be an announcement of the most profound, of the most powerful and yet of the most sublime. And this is what this child is. Powerful and sublime.
Isn't that not what love is actually? The most powerful? The most sublime?
The little child, the little child, one day, they say was born in Bethlehem so long ago. This little child will not be born in Bethlehem. But this little child will come in 2012 and the comet will proclaim his coming. So you might say, in essence, this is his comet. And those who watch the sky will remember that it was once called the Star of Bethlehem but since this child will not be born in Bethlehem then there is this comet announcing his birth.
Channelled by Carolyn Evers
You may listen to the channeling at: http://www.metatronminutes.net/Recordings/Crop_circle_predicts_the_coming_Christ_child.mp3
I encourage you to do so, as you will experience the energy and the unfolding of this wondrous message.
As I said at the beginning, this is a profound channelling. It tells of an event which will transform consciousness on this planet as we have known it. It tells of the coming forth on Earth of an aspect of that great soul that sent forth the one we know as Jeshua or Jesus, the first soul created after the seraphim and cherubim, the one known throughout the cosmos as "The Radiant One" because of his great light. His birth will trigger the Ascension process on planet Earth.
Please be clear, this not something to fear. Know that you chose to be present on the planet at this time to participate in this event, even if you may currently have no conscious awareness of it.
I encourage you to visit the crop circle website at http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2008/aveburymanor2/aveburymanor2008b.html and see for yourself what the analysts have come up with about this crop circle. It correlates powerfully with this channeling. It is a tangible, real world pointer to what is unfolding. In fact, I suggest you begin with http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2008/aveburymanor/aveburymanor2008a.html as this shows the first part of this pattern as it was laid down in two stages, the first on July 15th 2008, the second a week later on July 22nd. On the 22nd, the second pattern was added and the comet added to the first. The straight bands that have appeared through the first I understand are the handiwork of the farmer.
Get clear about the truth of this for yourself. You owe it to yourself to do so.
So how do I go forward?
As I said earlier, the concept of Ascension may be a complete shock to you. If you have no connection with spirituality or metaphysics today, if you have your views of who Jesus/Jeshua was and who and what we are shaped by religion, if you have grown up with the version of the scientific paradigm that has been fed to us, as I did, which focuses us on looking at the external world for understanding your reality, or if the whole concept of channeling is foreign to you, my e-book "The Coming Golden Age and How to Prepare for it" - www.thecominggoldenage.com - may be a good place for you to start as it begins with what modern science is telling us about the nature of our reality and goes from there.
Materials are coming into place to explain and support this unfolding. The detail behind this message can be found in "The Soul Journey of Jeshua" series - http://www.metatronminutes.com/soul_journey_of_jeshua.html . Who was the one we know as Jeshua or Jesus really? Why did he come? Did he plan to be crucified? Did he die on the cross? Who supported him? What has his life and his children with Mary Magdalene got to do with Ascension (yes, they were married and had children)? What role does the legacy of their children's DNA leave humanity? And much, much more. This material shatters the deception sold to us by the church about this man and his life.
There is free guidance and support coming forth in the Metatron Minutes newsletters - http://www.metatronminutes.com/newsletter_sign_up.html and a range of articles and protocols can be found at http://www.metatronminutes.com/. This will continue to expand, so I encourage you to return to it regularly.
Additionally, the material being channeled from Steve Fossett in a series of e-books - www.SteveFossettLives.com - provides further explanation and understanding at the detailed level of what this transition means. It is some of the material coming forth in these e-books, which exposes the dark plans of the US military and others that the faked crash site recently discovered was set up to discredit. It will not be long before the truth of this comes forth. The energies currently flowing to the planet will simply not allow it to remain hidden. All truths are being revealed and this channeling is an example.
These are powerful, powerful times. As I said earlier, the message above is not one to be feared. Rather, it is one to be understood and embraced. It is a call to action. We all have some four years, give or take a few days, to prepare. This is more than ample if you wish to embrace this opportunity.
Simply set your Intention to participate in this wondrous unfolding and be willing to face your fears and doubts. Be willing to ask why certain events happen to you. Stand as the creator of your own life, your own reality, as you are that. There are no victims. Be prepared to stand as a Sovereign being and bring all you need to be ready to you - and it will be so.
What I have just written will come as a shock to many of you. The idea that we are responsible for everything that unfolds in our lives is a concept that many struggle to hold. It is so far from the picture of reality that is fed to us. When you stand in this place, you will be amazed at the understanding that flows forth. This stand, however, is the last thing some on this planet wish us to take.
We have all lived countless lifetimes on Earth and in doing so have accumulated patterns of unresolved energy; energy resulting from traumas and other issues occurring earlier in this life and also in past lives. When a trauma is repeated over three or more lifetimes, this forms a pattern that you will likely need help to clear. There are many gifted energy workers ready, willing and able to assist you with this. This is the stuck energy referred to in the channeling. These subconscious patterns are major dictators of what is showing up in your current life. That's how it works.
In order to give you guidance on how to approach this clearing process, an article will be posted on the Articles page at http://www.metatronminutes.com/ shortly. I expect it will be in place by early December, 2008.
Heed this warning
So I encourage you to heed this warning and begin to prepare. There will be others more powerful than this one. I speak of one in my e-book. No-one on the planet will be able to say they were not warned. That is the way of spirit.
I encourage you to embrace the tools, the knowledge and the protocols coming forth on http://www.metatronminutes.com/ to support you in what are and will continue to be unsettling times. Unsettling they may be, however you can choose to witness them and allow them to swirl around you without touching you. Difficult times do not need to be difficult for you. We are all much greater, more powerful beings than we take ourselves to be. Now is the time to begin to understand and embrace this.
Some of you reading this will already have been caught up in the financial unwinding occurring, or are struggling financially for other reasons. Know that it is part of the unfolding of Ascension (see the article on the website above from Lord Metatron on this subject). Strange though this may sound to many of you, you do not have to participate in this chaos. You do not need to suffer.
In order to help those struggling with abundance issues in their lives, we are offering a series of free conference calls on this to provide the understanding and skills to master it. If this applies to you, I suggest you go to http://www.metatronminutes.com/free_manifesting_calls.html and register.
And so it is.
Blessings, joy, love and peace.

Apart from farmer's damage, the old part of Avebury Manor shows one major change: a "comet" entering our solar system on the left. Then on the right, its new part shows a highly expanded view of lunar orbit (a crescent Moon circling the Earth), close to a dotted oval symbol for "12 lunar months". During month 12 (or December 2012), our Moon will apparently come close in the sky to a "bright comet", drawn inside curved tramlines nearby.
Below the new lunar crescent at Avebury Manor, we can see a "double ring" symbol for Earth's Sun, connected by a long curved line to six other small symbols yet to be identified. Four bright "stars" appear nearby, close to the old orbit of Pluto.

By studying our Sun's path through the sky (red dashed line) during December, I was able to work out that those two small stars lie in the constellation Ophiuchus at Right Ascension 17 hours, 22 minutes, or close to our Sun on December 13 as 17 hours, 26 minutes. Four other stars (or M8) provide a confirming match between the star pattern and the crop picture. The crop symbol for M8 is shown correctly as a circle plus an extended line, because it is an extended star cluster.
One week later on December 21-23, our Sun lies at a slightly larger R.A. value of 18 hours, 2-11 minutes in the constellation Sagittarius. Four nearby symbols (not shown) as "spiral, snail, serpent, crossed box" remain unidentified, but could represent the four constellations bordering Ophiuchus in Earth's sky. For example, the "serpent" could be Serpens, while the "snail" was a constellation in ancient times.
Twelve years ago on July 13, 1996, we saw a similar astronomical prediction for December 2012 at West Overton: Charles Reed and Janet Ossebaard
This new crop picture seems to confirm the original crop picture shown in 1996, of a bright comet next to a crescent Moon in December 2012. Its importance is that no such prediction can (or has) currently been made by conventional astronomical science. A very similar crop picture appeared at West Overton on July 13, 1996. There next to a galactic centre symbol for "Hunab Ku", we saw a crescent Moon next to a bright comet in late 2012. NOTE ABOUT HUNAB KU:
FROM WIKIPEDIA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunab_Ku
The Hunab ku was invented by Catholic missionaries according to this article.

There we saw (apparently) the same new Moon of December 13, 2012, lying in Earth's sky next to the same bright comet. Both objects will lie close to our Sun during its eclipse of the galactic centre on December 21-23 (which is indicated by a Mayan spiral symbol called "Hunab Ku").
In summary, both of these crop pictures lead us to think that something important may happen one week before the Mayan Long Count calendar ends on December 21-23, 2012. At the very least, we should see a bright comet next to a new Moon. We might even see curved lines or "rays" emerging from the galactic center, as shown at West Overton in the diagram above.

COMMENTS:
I think you guys are on the right track with this analysis. But see if your bright comet is at one of these heliocentric longitudes obtained from T367. Comet Event 1 (The Appearance Of The Comets At The Distance Of The Asteroid Belt: 02/25/07, Other Comets At Heliocentric Longitudes:
2: 103.0 degrees;
3: 139 degrees;
4: 161.5 degrees;
5: 195.0 degrees
This may give a clue as to how to understand the crop circle Avebury Manor crop circles of 15 and 22 July 2008.

Avebury manor I and II the relation
I want to share the following notes which I have on the second crop circle from Avebury Manor. I want to call the second Avebury circle " The Returning of the Tenth Planet Niburu " In my opinion this is the first crop circle what actually depicts the origin of the makers of these symbols. One can easily see that the circles are related. We can see the planets again in the same position as in circle I
Lets start with the planets and the sun. What is obvious is that the sun, the central point, is approximately 25% bigger. The sun has even in his power the planets Mercurius and Venus. We also can see that on the outside four circles are shown, which are getting bigger in format.
Lets start with the planets and the sun. What is obvious is that the sun, the central point, is approximately 25% bigger. The sun has even in his power the planets Mercurius and Venus. We also can see that on the outside four circles are shown, which are getting bigger in format.
What I see in this picture is that a Big Comet is approaching. The sun reacts on this Comet and is expanding and so becoming a lot more bigger, but also hotter and hotter. The planets Mercury and Venus are being burned up. What will happen with the Earth. That is explained in the picture beside the planets orbits.
Lets start with the big circle and a small circle with a central circle sticking on this. I understand that this is the missing planet nr. 10 or Niburu. Niburu has its own orbit outside our solar system, which is shown. I see that Niburu also has a moon. To the right we see an ellips with 11 tiny circles around it. I think they mean that they own a huge space ship which is heading to a kind of teardrop shaped picture. I think they mean the sorrow and grief on planet Earth, because of the suns explosion. So in popular, I understand that they send this space craft to mother Earth. But if someone else understands this different, then please react.
As follows I will explain the symbols at the left of Niburu's orbit.
The diamond shaped symbol can be a space ship, but also can mean a laboratory. Above that symbol we see the symbol of a sperm. Then follows a turtle and a swirl. After the swirl I cannot clearly see or understand the next symbol, but the following bigger symbol is very interesting and between that symbol and the orbit of Pluto I cannot anymore see clearly the smaller symbols.

What I understand is that they explain that they brought life (Diamond and sperm symbol), it was a slow process ( the turtle), but finally evolution ( the swirl) took place. The bigger symbol is at the left planet Earth. They put Earth in the proper orbit and they will do this again when our sun is changing. I understand that they will take Earth to a safer place.
Hope You can bring this message to the crop circle community.

I think it is Planet X. That is a separate object.
"Those who follow the Hopi path; they hear his (Massau? The Creator?) commandments. The small circular objects around the path symbol are Kivas. The Large Circle is from the Anashanabek Peace Shield and means: "The Creator surrounds all things. The head of the Water Serpent is part of the symbol for the Pahanna "The Pahanna is coming to imprison something. "The other circle is a rough date marked by the Major Planets
